Red Hill Trail
The Red Hill Trail is located within the foothills of the Marysville State Forest. Its name is what it suggests, consisting of a gradual incline on a red clay path. The path from Buxton-Marysville Road is a one-way 2.1-kilometre walk taking approximately 30-40 minutes until you meet its intersection with the Michaeldene Trail.
Red Hill Truffles
Red Hill Truffles was established in 2005 with an initial planting of 350 oak and hazelnut trees on a family farm. The first truffle harvest was five years later in 2010. By 2020, there were 2,700 truffle producing trees.
The Perigord (Black) Truffle season runs from June until the end of August.

Red Hill Walking & Wine Tour
Your tour begins with sparkling wine and cheese in Red Hill before a six and a half kilometre walk to Merricks. You will follow the original Red Hill railway line (built in 1915) and along the way, meet winemakers at Stonier Wines and enjoy a tasting in the vineyard.

Stallholders are masters of their trade, all products offered being expertly made and professionally presented with an essence of the maker’s humility evident.
A whole range of exciting foods and beverages are represented, all fresh and tempting. Expect seasonal injections of local fruits and benches full of home grown vegetables. A huge selection of unique culinary delights make a mouth watering taste feast. Consider original design pieces for the garden made from materials such as wrought iron and bronze feature. There is a good range of plants and colourful fresh flowers. Parking is simple, straight forward and close by. Stallholders are renowned for their hospitality, so leaving full shopping bags for last minute pickup is usually no problem.
Red Hill Station Reserve
Surrounded by the beauty of tall eucalypt trees, the Red Hill Station Reserve sits at the hub of an expansive network of trails for walkers, horse riders and bike riders alike. Located in the hinterlands of the Peninsula, the reserve seeks to preserve some of the heritage features of the Red Hill Railway.
